OKAY BUT BEST ORIGINAL SCORE NOMINATION WHEN???

In one word, outstanding. Tells a more complete and commoving story in four minutes than most films do in 2+ hours. Between this and If Anything Happens I Love You, Netflix has basically got that Best Animated Short Film Oscar on lock.

I wasn’t the biggest fan of Soul (shocker, I know), but I... surprisingly found 22 vs. Earth to be absolutely adorable and amusing? It’s short for sure, but still quite sweet, and after this, I actually would be down for more antics in The Great Before.

Was worried this would be a case of style over story, but that emotional payoff packed quite a punch - Netflix is really killing it in the animated short department this year, huh??

haven’t logged a movie in over a week which is entirely unlike me but letting everyone know i’m still alive and have simply been locked the fuck in to one of the best seasons of television i’ve ever seen. if you haven’t ed andor hive yet literally what are you doing. i regret all the time i wasted these past three years so much. as good as your favorite star wars movie and sometimes maybe even better. can’t form any other coherent thoughts rn but just wanted to spread the good word before i lock back in for s2. When an 8-minute short film is better than your franchise’s last full-length feature 💀

It’s got a powerful message, but it feels a bit abrupt and incomplete. Hm. Still think it probably has the best shot to win the Oscar given the star power and the social sentiment, but this could’ve (and should’ve) been a home run, and it feels like it never got past the first draft.
