Ryan Whittingham’s review published on Letterboxd:
Even though it fails to continue pushing the boundaries the way Fallout did, it’s no disappointment in the high intensity of action and payoff.
Pure enjoyment from start to finish, exhilarating stunts that got me feeling that overwhelming sense of dread and excitement and Tom Cruise madness that only he could pull off.
I actually quite enjoyed the narrative on display here, not only lending into a more recent relative subject, but finding ways to bring stakes and emotional trust into the story and these characters. This massively owes so much to Fallout, though, and, even though it’s no competition, it does feel like there is so much more love for those on show than ever before.
A worthy evening spent at the cinema, just the way Cruise hoped for.
