My first Tsukamoto film, and man what a trip, maybe not the best film to watch today as it was depressing as shit and gave me a huge migraine but that was such a glorious migraine. It was so frenetic that my brain gave up at some point and the whole experience became incredibly euphoric and meditative, similar to an experience I had while watching Atman by Matsumoto (a must watch tbh) on repeat at midnight, definitely a different route of subjectification but a brutally successful and unrelenting one. Paradoxically, due to this I didn't really dig the movie much, up until the end which I thought was so amazing. I'll have to rewatch this shit fo-sho, I definitely didn't take in as much as I could've and should've.
