Music Video Preservation Society returns to the PCC! 📺

After May’s sell out show…on Thursday 17th July, David Knight returns to the PCC for a second round with the MUSIC VIDEO PRESERVATION SOCIETY. A big screen celebration of treasures from five decades of the pop-cultural phenomenon that is the music video!

Following a fantastic debut in a sold-out downstairs screen back in May, THE MUSIC VIDEO PRESERVATION SOCIETY returns to the PCC for another unforgettable night celebrating the power and creativity of the music video.

That first night was electric, an eclectic journey through five decades of music video brilliance, brought to life on our big screen. The evening’s highlight was a special appearance by acclaimed director Luna Carmoon, who ed host David Knight for an insightful conversation about her recent trilogy of hauntingly beautiful videos for Fontaines D.C. Her discussion of the creative process behind Here’s The ThingIn The Modern World, and It’s Amazing To Be Young captivated the audience.

The programme also paid tribute to pioneering female directors, girl groups, iconic classics of the 70s, 80s and 90s, and featured the newly restored 4K version of Firestarter by The Prodigy, directed by Walter Stern. It was a night that reminded everyone why the music video is one of the most vital and visionary forms of modern storytelling. And now… we're doing it all again.
