Was this remake needed? No. Is it better than the original? Not really. It's a near shot-by-shot remake with a near identical script. It's not worse from the original because of it, but it's also not better. It's good because the original is good, and that's it. It's the easy way out.

Ultimately, I liked it, because I liked the original. That doesn't mean I can't be disappointed and tired at how uncreative and unneeded the trend of live action remakes are.

felt like i was watching someone’s bad star trek fanfic come to life

as a woman who’s worked with and ridden horses for years, this movie made me sad

I didn’t like the first act at all, felt like 30 min of recaping the other movies. Got better as it went along.
My palms were sweaty as hell during the plane sequence.
