A haphazard film, but Driving in in the 60s is soo cool

A disastrous movie. Before delving into the chaos that ensued I will it that there are some, albeit few stunning moments in this film. The cinematography in the first 30 minutes was beautiful, the use of frames within frame encapsulated Demi Moore’s claustrophobic anxiety as an aging star. Yeah man Wong Kar Wai is the undisputed kingof the romance genre. This movie is literally perfect. The first time around I didn’t think it deserved a 5 star, but on second viewing, and watching more of his discography I can absolutely appreciate this movie more. The second act with Cop 633 and Faye is stunning - no notes. This might be a slight deviation, but I find it so crazy that a love story shot in 1994 is visually better than 99% of the movies created today. Mental.
