Watched on Mothers Day with an arm around each kid like Alan Grant in a tree with Lex and Tim. Top 10 parenting experience even when the 8 year old declared that the last 30 minutes are “too repetitive.” Sometimes parenting is letting your children be wrong!
Ghost Protocol is my fave for sheer fun, followed by Fallout for the insane action escallation, but every time I watch the original I like it more and more, especially for the way it smuggles a DePalma Hitchcock-style wrong man thriller into the shape of a blockbuster.
1) Weird, knowing where the series would go, that this basically just has two (arguably three) big setpieces, but those setpieces are nothing to sneeze at.
