A lot of my music actually comes from film and TV (probably 80%). Being able to recollect a fantastic scene in a film from a piece of music increases both my enjoyment of the music and of the film.
In fact, making this list makes me realize how important music is to the likelihood of me re-watching a film. If other people are similar, I would say then that music is an investment that a filmmaker can make to increase the longevity of their creation.
