Barbie marketing will be taught in B-schools from now onwards.
That Snyder Cut dig got me real bad! š
I wasn't sure before, but it's safe to say, believe the hype. Gerwig and Baumbach have written a brilliant comedy in 'Barbie', that takes on topic that are usually considered a bit too difficult to discuss, but what they managed to achieve with their amazing writing was to make those topics approachable. Definitely won't be surprised if they land a writing nomination.
Gosling was an absolute favorite and standout in my opinion. Heās so confident and in the zone, and plays the character so freakin' well! It would be blasphemous if he doesn't get to fight it out with Robert Downey Jr. in the Best ing Category.
Margot Robbie absolutely nails every single mark. She gets to showcase a side of herself that's rarely seen. The entire ensemble was stellar, some of whom didn't even have a single dialogue!
Also, I just have to say this considering how big a fan of hers I was when she was on SNL, this is the first great performance by Kate McKinnon. š
The toughest question in my opinion is which 2 songs will they end up submitting for the Oscars. I personally am rooting for the Ken song. I can't wait to see Gosling bring his Kenergy live at the Oscars.
The fact that Barbie and Oppenheimer releasing at the same time did not result in a āBarbie vs. Oppenheimerā and instead produced a āBarbie and Oppenheimerā tells me that something is healing in the world.
