Watch test = 1 hr

“Show don’t tell” is an old filmmaking maxim because showing is generally more interesting to watch on film than telling. Viewing this film after having seen The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar two nights ago, I can’t help but wonder if someone dared Wes Anderson to make a series of short films based on Roald Dahl short stories that are all tell and no show— and are still entertaining to watch.

Watching this felt like watching early Pixar films (Toy Story, A Bugs Life, Monsters Inc.)— magical, funny, visually stunning, and surprisingly meaningful!
Thrilled to see someone other than Pixar, Disney, and Sony Pictures Animation pull this off (and no whiff of superhero IP to boot).
