I’m not 100% sure what I just watched but it’s brilliantly silly. This is a great example of how anything can be good if you give it a chance. The timing of the jokes is ridiculously good and bizarrely so funny. Jean Kayak and a beaver as the Halloween costume of the year?

Vivarium is really good at building an eerie atmosphere and keeping you asking a lot of questions but then leaves you rather unsatisfied with no answers. The vibe is there but it’s lacking a punch. It was a pleasant change to see Jesse Eisenberg not playing his famous “socially awkward weirdo”, he is quite good at acting who’d of thought? I also hate that kid with a fiery ion.

Cheesy and charming are probably the two best words to describe karate kid legends. It’s also got its problems but who cares? I came out of my screening having had a lot of fun and feeling good. Surprised at the lack of people in my screening, especially the lack of dads that were there… WHERE WERE THE DADS AT?!?!?!
