I get it, but no thanks.

A Brian De Palma comedy starring Danny DeVito and Joe Piscopo? Very well.
I actually enjoyed this. I do now believe I was suffering from a Covid induced fever whilst watching but I don't think this would impair my judgement in any way at all, no.
Also starring Dan Hedaya and Harvey Keitel (and a host "ah, it's that guy!" character actors) it's a fine little film for what it is, good performances albeit with a questionable script.
This, to me, is a near perfect film: camp, colourful and starring Christopher Lee. I'm being flippant but it is sincerely, one of the most beautiful films I've ever seen, with some superb practical effects and unique visual flair from the unequivocal Master of Cinema, Mario Bava.
Much like 'Planet of the Vampires' I find this one gets a bit lost in Bava's oeuvre. I'm filing this one under 'a film so good I'm sort of annoyed that no-one ever told me about it'. So, don't ignore this one as I did for so long!
