Le Trou

Stripped down prison break story that doesn’t rely on flashy tricks or melodrama. There's not even a musical score except for the end credits. The Hole is just patient, painstakingly realistic storytelling.

We experience every step of the way to escape. Watching men chip away at stone walls. It’s not about a big payoff; it’s about trust, desperation, and the quiet tension that someone might crack under pressure. A prison break built from almost nothing, just men, a cell, and the weight of hope that freedom might be clawed out inch by inch.

I've sat through the other nine Evil Bong movies so I'm not even phased by how bad The Gingerweed Man is. Short runtime (though still too long), nudity, and brain rotting stoner jokes- everything you could ask for an Evil Bong entry to be.

This is it- possibly the DEFINITIVE body horror film. At least the best since Cronenberg's remake of The Fly. I haven't been rocked by a film like this in an extremely long time.

The Substance is suffocating, anxiety-inducing, disgusting, just a whole long list of a confused state of emotions. I promise you have never experienced a film like this and it's going to be landing in horror history for decades. Here you'll find one of the most vile lifeforms…

Hearing Iron Maiden's "Flash of the Blade" while seeing a flash of a blade was greatly satisfying.

Standard Argento fanfare to be found here. His incredible scores, beautiful lighting, and that climax was something else. Absolutely wild.
