Unbelievable! Just 10 minutes in, and I was already a mess.

Cassavetes and the entire cast create a world that’s so private, I felt like I was watching something I shouldn’t. 

Gena Rowlands gives the performance of her life—arguably one of the best screen performances of all time. It’s completely transcendent. I can’t believe it took me this long to see it.

There’s a heart wrenching scene near the end of the film where she asks her dad to stand…

Holyyyyy shiiittt!! Completely transcendent - the score was unbelievable, ed immediately after. Lil lost for words, so need to ponder this film a bit more to do a proper review
