So wow. I consider myself a person who has seen just about every definitive film in just about every genre. However, The Thing was one of those ones I had simply missed. Not for trying cause I've seen the other great John Carpenter films and I like them all to a certain degree.

But man-oh-man. This one is just absolutely amazing. People say the effects hold up and while practical effects has allowed it to hold up to a degree…
