I saw this at the theater when I was a kid and I just thinking John Leguizamo was so damn pretty. Meanwhile, between this and the Brady Bunch films no wonder RuPaul has always been a pop culture fixture in my mind.

Never knew I needed a perverse body horror version of Cinderella but here we are. I love how ultra realistic this felt but the fairy godmaggots were like the cherry on top of a twisted gross sundae.

Word of mouth was already strong but then I saw someone compare this to Demon Knight, which happens to be my favorite horror movie, so I had to see it. I wouldn't say it reminded me of Demon Knight personally but I'm still giving it the same rating. Loved it. Slow burn gothic horror with a music focus? Sign me the hell up. So impressed with the acting & the atmosphere - how transported and invested I felt. Will definitely revisit this one.

Had the main concept spoiled for me but there were still some fun surprises and more laughs than I anticipated. Would make a good double feature with Fresh.
