More seriously, this film is beautiful, visually and emotionally, so calm but so tense, and is historically significant as a film made by the only succesful female director in post-war . It is also a hidden gem of queer history as being the first lesbian film in (probably among the first important queer films ever), made by someone who understand how complex and hard to get love can be for young girls.
Finally trying to slowly complete watching the filmography of Stanley Kubrick. This film is the weakest I've seen so far, with a pretty boring and uninteresting plot in a short runtime, but at least I still felt some interest in the broken camera shot and the end chase, which still has some well shot action between the very wide shots of outside and the close shots in a closed place with a entertaining and thrilling scene with mannequins. The rest of the movie... eh. Worth a shot to see how much Kubrick has improved though.
