However many viewings later, probably the best this has ever been. I’m nervously excited for 28 years later, but man, if Boyle and Garland could capture even half of what’s so good about this it would be a success.

Did not this many outstanding images set against this ugly, depressing aesthetic. The story has always worked for me but I also do not them nailing every emotional beat quite this well. It’s heart shattering stuff. A hard watch…
