Week 24: Africa

I know nothing about the graphic novel this is based upon, but as a movie, I'm kind of left unsatisfied by how the movie ends. Nothing is left resolved by the end of this, which is I guess true to real life, but it really makes me feel like I wasted my time with this movie. All the characters are compelling, at least. Maybe there's more in the graphic novel, but as a movie, it leaves a lot to be desired despite it being somewhat enjoyable.

"Nothing is born from lies, and greatness is not what you think."

Such an uplifting movie to end the year. Not only is Gal Gadot great in this movie with a tear-inducing performance, but everyone is great in this as well. Including Lilly Aspell as young Diana, who does great at the beginning of the movie! Kristen Wiig's performance as Barbara Ann Minerva/Cheetah was spot-on and chilling in some spots.
