I underrated this when I saw it in 2023. How embarrassing.

Back when it was very important to me to rank films and have a top five locked and loaded for anybody who asked (and many who didn’t), I would say that “Rushmore” was my number two film of all time. When I last watched it in 2012, I still thought it was great, but it’s honestly not a film I think about much these days. All that’s to say, “The French Dispatch” is intolerable from start to finish. Whatever might be commendable about it is far overshadowed by its utter soullessness.

Nothing screams “Regal Unlimited” quite like a 2:00 showing of Five Nights at Freddy’s by myself on a Thursday afternoon. As I was waiting for the screening to start, a little girl walked past me, eating popcorn and trailing slightly behind her mother and older sisters, chanting to herself, “Five Nights at Fweddy’s! Five Nights at Fweddy’s! Five Nights at Fweddy’s!”

I did not like the movie.
