As a fan of the novel Frankenstein, I really appreciated the character of Wolf in the first act: Instead of a mad scientist, he’s relatable, calm, and intelligent. Because of that, we can fully see the wonders of science (“Nothing in nature is terrifying when one understands it.“) and the hubris it may tempt us with (“Why should we fear anything?”). That vibes hard with the book.

Unfortunately, the character just gets silly once the Monster is introduced, making nonsensical…
