I usually dig Sundance style twee but this was clashing in the wrong direction. Sometimes it thrives off its weirdness, sometimes it's hindered by it. The editing is a great example - sometimes world-class jump cuts, sometimes baffling inappropriate montages. Would have helped if it picked a lane and stuck with it, but it finds its strengths every now and then.
