This is among the movies from my childhood that i assumed were all other chapters of the Star Wars universe…but I’ll never understand the design of that ship- from one angle it looks like truck-nutz, from another angle it looks like a mechanical bull… and it’s brown. Who paints a space ship brown? Still R.I.P.ing Roger Corman, the King.

4 ofl the stars are for the potential this movie had - it could have been awesome. And 1 more star for Mark Hammil’s moustache! Unfortunately it seems heavily influenced by the TMNT movie that came out a year before and they made it jokey and silly. The monsters and effects all look awesome - especially Mark’s transformation scene! A less comedic score would improve this movie immensely. I wish this had started a whole new genre ofJjapanese/American hybrid productions.
