I guess Susan Hayward was already a star at this point, since she gets top billing. I've never been the hugest fan but here she does a decent job overcoming her brooding sullenness as she warms to the naive hero. The plot is a bit of an eye roller, packed with conveniences, but it's one of those character driven things so the actual story is probably superfluous. Almost a parody of a Noir film actually, with it's absurd little touches, and the more I think about it, that may have been the intention all along.

Edmond O’Brien in a race against time, frantically searching for a bottle of Gas-X before his ass explodes. Okay, so maybe not, but it's a workable idea. This is a fairly involved Flashback Noir about a guy trying to piece together the mystery of his missing friend. It twists and turns and is pretty entertaining for what it is. Casablancas: The Man Who Loved Women

Entertaining but ridiculous doc that finds John Casablancas boasting and bragging about his amazing life as a Model Agent and famous creator of the Elite modeling agency. John is very good at justifying everything he did, like leaving his wife for then 16 year old Stephanie Seymour, and his portrayal of the fashion world is definitely a bit on the tawdry side. Ultimately it all seemed like an elaborate ruse to meet beautiful, often under aged girls and exploit the shit out of them in every way. There is most certainly another side to this story.
