In 2025, I have pledged to watch (at least) 52 films directed by women. That's an average of one per week - although I'm not going to be viewing to a prescribed schedule.

Since I value seeking out new things as well as diversity, I've set myself the goal of making them 52 films I'm watching for the first time. I will list every film directed by a woman I watch here but I'll note when it's a first-time watch.

Thinking about the issue of directing teams, where one of the directors is a man, I've decided to keep this pure and only to films that have solely women with a director credit.
