I couldn’t help but smile throughout the entire thing, and I’m (almost) certain I’m not being biased when I say this was so insanely creative, fun, well made, and above all, inspiring. And Dylan, I hope you’ll come to realise how much potential you have and how amazing of an artist you are, and I hope you know and understand how proud I am of you, and how very grateful I am to have been able to see this and to have you around <33

I was absolutely hooked after that dance scene in the beginning and couldn’t help crushing on Nureyev the entire duration of the movie. Goddd why did I wait so long to watch this

I managed to convince my parents to watch this with me; I thought they, especially my dad, would appreciate seeing mid 70s Brussels, and that it might even evoke some long lost memories.

Mom: ‘Omg i used to have a little knitting bag just like that one!’ Pear syrup! Oh when the Dreft bottles used to be round and clear!’
Dad: ‘Le soir used to be such a good paper, now it’s shit. Look at how clear the streets are!!…

Peaches Goes Bananas

Before attending this screening I had never heard of Peaches - wow, what a woman. Though I’m not particularly interested in her music, Peaches herself really is a sight to behold. A charismatic and witty, unique individual who refuses to conform and is so unapologetically ionate in everything she does. For some reason, jokes never land for me whenever they’re in movies or other media. My god was I definitely kicking my feet and giggling to a live version of Fuck the Pain Away played on the screen. I just love documentaries on music and artists. Beautifully put together!
