The film starts off brilliantly, and then you realize that it's just one nonsense joke (akin to a dadaist style, even if the movie itself tries to be surrealist) that will keep repeating itself for an eternity of an hour and a half.

I usually love this kind of dumb nonsense, but I found it quite disappointing and boring. Despite this, I intend to watch it again another day to see if it clicks with me in a different way.

Maybe it'll do better without the company of the group of men-children in the back row who wouldn't stop laughing like a pack of hyenas.

The immediate comparison, largely due to the proximity of both releases, ends up being with Lilo & Stitch. However, this one is a much more rounded product than Disney's. I think this clearly shows the difference between the PRODUCTION VALUE (not budget, there is a difference) of both.
