The last film noir, maybe, but so far ahead of its time. This thing rips. Better with repeated viewings. (Great LA movie too.)

Get the Warner 4K. It's extraordinary.

Inarguable.  It was great when it came out but time has been good to it — it feels even more emotional now.  It’s earned its place in the pantheon of Great Westerns.
