I cried 3 times. I was gripping my seat for nearly the entire 3rd act. At one point I grabbed my water to drink from it and I was visibly shaking from the stress. Its first act is messy and bloated but somehow still manages to feel like it’s pushing through to give you an experience. There’s an overuse of flashbacks and strange transitions that often feel out of place, but also insignificant when looking at the bigger picture. By no means perfect, but this is what going to the movies is all about. I love what Tom Cruise has done for the cinematic experience
Drove hours to watch this on the largest IMAX screen in the world and worth every minute (including the drive). Best movie of the year so far.
One of the most visually captivating pieces of cinema I’ve seen in a long time. The 1.43 IMAX sequences alone are a feast for the eyes. It always feels like The Ultra Panavision and IMAX formats being used to their full advantage.
Ryan Coogler has truly crafted something gorgeous here and his influences…
